The Beached Party Boat was a former extension of the Pierre Boulez Memorial Discotheque. From 1953-2008, the Party Boat sailed up and down Treble Cove while bands performed and guests danced. Although there were no rooms technically available for passengers to sleep, over the years a number of frequent guests fashioned rooms for themselves out of cardboard. The Party Boat was beached, 1.5 miles away from shore in 2008 under circumstances that are still being investigated by the Bureau of Public Secrets.
